After being bitten by the the ould recession , loosing my job and struggling to gain new employment myself and my girlfriend are thinking of getting outta town for a long time.

Im wondering what peoples opinions are on the following:

She discovered that she might be able to apply for citizenship after her father lived in Cananda for nearly 8 years. So she popped the application in the post. After being told it could take 8 to 12 months or more for it to process her citizenship card arrived in the post the other day. So my question is can she go over and then sponsor me?

Or would the u35 programme be better for a year and then spply for sponsorship?

thanks in advance for any help!!
