As the ACCA results are out on Monday I'm getting quite nervous....
I've results of my last two exams pending, so, come Monday I could be calling myself a qualified accountant:D Or I could be calling myself a loser:mad:

But my thoughts are: What opportunities lie ahead for newly qualified accountants? Sometimes I dispair and think that it's been a waste of time i.e. there are no jobs out there now....

Sorry about that, just need to rant!

Freaking out also and in same boat (ACCA qualified or LOSER) come monday at approx 6.20am

Even though the job market is down the pan ACCA qualified speaks louder than someone who isnt. IMO its more to do with experience but relevant qualifications go hand-in-hand.

Or in another way, better with than without.

In all fairness, that's a pile of crap. A qualified accountant is ideally positioned to undertake employment in any form of business. Qualified accountants have a much broader understanding of the running of a business than any business/actuary/maths/law or any other type of student as accountants look at different businesses and how they operate every day.

I agree there are a lack of jobs and everything but I think accountants are in a much better position that other business related students.
