Electric Hob Circuit Board Replace

    Hi,

Has anyone ever replaced a circuit board on Glass, touch control hob.

My Hob has gone on the blink, 2 rings dont work. I had an 'Engineer' out and he diagnosed a circuit board failure.
I diagnose an Engineer failure. I fairness all he was able to do was to poke a phase tester around. Its a joke.
His advice "ah sure a new board is the same price as a new hob"

I think its a total waste to discard 4 good rings and the glass and all that goes with it.

So, Im looking to replace the PCB. Has anyone ever tried it?
    (Electrolux ehs6610k )

    Thanks!
