Does anyone have advice on how to go about getting investment for a company?

First step should be to prepare an investment pack for potential investors. Check out the website irish investors network, may give you some ideas.

Unless you know the investor you will need a business plan, showing the opportunities and risks of the venture. Most people get initial investment from friends or famlily.
