Might be interested as long as we don't go on that mental route that ye did the last time down a very very dodgy boreen.

Thats sort of what I had in mind. I need to get in some pretty brutal training before the Sean Kelly in 2 weeks.

    Hi,
I'd be interested if you don't mind having a complete stranger tagging along. I'm training for the Sean Kelly as well. Assume you'd be heading to Wicklow from the Park? Would you be going via Lucan/Clondalkin or through town?

Will leave the Park and head for Edmondstown Rd as a start.
More than welcome. Just beware that I am a very slow climber - s going hard for me, may not be going hard for you.

Either way thinking of leaving the Park at 7.30am.

What sort of route you thinking.
Was hoping for something like Kilakee, Crone Wood, Long Hill, Lugalla, Sally Gap, and home via Bohernabreena or Kilbride??

OK sounds good. Where in the park are you planning on meeting up?
I'll PM you my mobile number.

    Cool.
How about Islandbridge Gate that runs onto Conygham Road?

Grand, that's the gate before the main Parkgate St. one if you're coming from Chapelizod?

Any route fine by me. What time?

I think I might tag along also. I'm fighting a brutal hangover at the moment so the idea of getting on the bike isn't too appealing, but I also need some practice.

Coming from the south, is there anywhere I can meet you guys on the route without going all the way out to the park?

@Dirk - Will leave the park at 7.30 so could meet you in Rathfarnham at say 8.15am.

Must be some hangover if you are expecting it to be there in the morning.

Edmondstown Rd is closed at the bottom.

Walked down Edmondstown last Sunday and while the road is technically closed, there was a footpadth to the side which was OK to walk on, so there'd be enough room for you to get through on a bike(then at least).

Sweet, thanks ROK ON. Would somewhere around Dodder park rd be right?

    It's a particularly nasty hangover, I couldn't move until about 4pm.

No idea where that is. How about Rathfarnham Castle or that pub - The Yellow House.

Edmondstown Rd is closed at the bottom.

I was up there tonight, it's not bloked, the road is fine.

Right, just remembered I have a package coming tomorrow and seeing as I am home alone at the minute, I need to be in the house.

I might head out later on in the day. Have a good spin guys.

Thanks to BBosco and Eggie for the company. Great spin. Best workout that I have had in a while. Thanks guys.

@Dirk - hang your head in shame.

I think at the end of the year we should hold a poll on which is the lamest excuse that Dirk has come up with in 2009.

Enjoyable spin, good company. Hard to beat 100km done and back home at 12.30.

Great spin, thanks for the company. Nice route ROK ON. Strangely I struggled on what should have been a nice run home from Sally Gap. Just felt generally sore and tired which is why I kept disappearing off the back. I'm sure it'll stand to me in Waterford in a couple of weeks though :)

Well, the "pickige" (my kiwi accent) arrived at 9:20 am, so glad I stayed in, I needed those pedals.

I realize I have been backing out of a lot of spins lately, I will get better!
