The course I want was 340 last year. I got 385 this year, what are the chances of me getting the course?

I really need it, I repeated this year.

Saving a huge increase in the popularity of/calibre of students who apply for your course, you have it.

Does anyone think I have a chance of getting primary teaching this year? Got 475, teaching last year was 475 in MI and 470 in Pats.

A 45+ point jump in the required points is quite unlikely. You should be fine.

A 20+ point jump isn't impossible, but hopefully it won't come to that. You should be fine too.

You certainly have a chance of getting it. The points may well drop or stay the same.

However, none of you can have a definite answer until Monday. The CAO can be unpredicatble at times. Hopefully, you guys all get what you want but don't get your hopes up too much until Monday. Just go out and celebrate finishing the Leaving Cert and getting your results, and try not to dwell too much on CAO until Monday morning.
