Improv/Post Rock/Ambient music in Limerick area area..

    Howdee,

    I posted a thread here a good while back, so rather than resurrect it, I thought I'd start a new one.

    So I finally got around to recording some stuff and putting it on myspace, and while it came out tame enough, as in, fairly acoustic/straight ahead, I would be interested in messing around with it live, and twisting what is already there.

    I dunno how to do it. I was initially thinking me and another guitarist. Maybe use 2 loop pedals, and play with sounds and ambience. Or me, a guitar and a synth player who could add some beats as well, try something different.
    Or what about a drummer and a synth player, or a drummer and a bass player.
    Or even just me and a drummer. It wouldn't even have to be a full drum kit.

    I would also like to take a fairly casual/lose approach to it. I'm in another original band at the moment, so am doing my own stuff fairly casually at the moment, and if other folk are in bands as well, and want to just try something on the side, then grand job as well.

    I'm 32, have been in a few original bands, and am a guitarist/singer/keyboardist.

    Think somewhere between Low/Pelican/Yo La Tengo/Sonic Youth

    Jam it out..

    Now, I know my own stuff on myspace sounds nothing like the above yet, but I recorded it myself, so couldn't add drums as such, or much quiet/loud. It's to be played with.

    I have other ideas knocking around and wouldn't mind playing them with some other musicians...

    Hey seachto, I'd be interested in this for sure. I've been practicing my improv solidly for the last year and would love to do some nice instrumental stuff. I live in castletroy.
