Fishing on the Shannon..any advice?

    Hello there, im taking a trip down on the river shannon soon and im looking for some advice..my fishing knowledge is fairly basic, ive been down fishing on the shannon a few years ago and had very little luck, only a few small roach.

    looking to catch some roach or perch even pike but i have no knowledge of pike fishing. have a few spinners and float rigs.

    any advice on bait,spinners,rigs or anything would be very much appreciated

    What part of the Shannon are you thinking of and are you fishing by boat or on the bank?

    im gona be renting a cruiser for a long weekend around the middle, athlone area.
