You'll have a great time, great spot. Like yourself was myself and the lads back in 2002, interrailing. Loads of decent pubs and as for restaurants McDonalds was a pleaser for us, plenty around. Bit of a haze and old age kicking in will ask the lads if they remember any of the pubs. I'd say out of all the cities i've been to in the world, alot alot Defo in top 5. enjoy the trip and the Slovenian women, crackers!!

Plenty of pubs and clubs in the center. Just wander around you'll find them. Foodwise i'd say the same, small enough place you cant go far wrong. Have fun! :)

Check out a little lane in the centre called Knafljev Prehod - several bars and restaurants here spilling into the open.

Ah the cutty sark is there, try the mexican restaurant across the street from there, good food and not expensive. If your looking for cocktails go to the skeleton bar. Also dont forget to go to metelkova if your feeling adventurous! :D

If you want a pizza restaurant with 100 pizzas to choose from, try here:
    http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g274873-d697388-Reviews-Ljublianski_Dvor-Ljubljana.html

Pizzas are huge and its fairly central by the river.
Basic, good value and a nice terrace out the front.

I went twice and didn't realsie I'd ordered the same pizza again until it arrived.
    No 37 i think.

Can't go there without going to Metelkova - Go in the day, then go again at night. And enjoy!

If we're talking about the same place, yep, great grub and value.

Slovenia is a great little country.

There is a street near the river, with loads of bars and restaurants with outdoor seating. Food tends to be good value. They do eat horse meat in Slovenia, so you may need to ask first, if you find eating horse meat taboo. I wasn't a huge fan on the local beer, but milage may vary according to taste.

If you don't find horse meat a taboo, then go for a spicy horse burger on your way back from a few pints :)

With local beer's you have a choice of Lasko or Union - I prefered Union, I think all my friends prefered Lasko - They're quite cheap though :)
