Does anyone know where I can pick up a freesat / sat4free receiver somewhere near Ennis or Limerick? If I was up in Dublin I'd just drop in to Power City but they're not down here. Need to pick it up tomorrow (wednesday 12th) since I'm heading off for a while.

    Thanks!

    You could try Tesco's.

I was in the new tesco on the Ennis Rd in Limerick and didn't see them there. Tesco used carry them, don't know what happened. I'll take a look in Ennis tesco but I'm not hopeful.

    Thanks though

Woodies sell sat4free boxes last I checked.

They have stores in Limerick and Nenagh.

They have phone numbers in the above link to avoid making a wasted trip. :)

I bought the Metronic Freesat HD box (Sat HD 100) in Maplins Limerick late June (for Wimbledon on BBC HD). HTH

I called maplin, they don't have them, only the HD ones. Looks like you can't get a freesat sd reciever in Clare. You can get the free to air ones but everything I've read says the freesat ones are easier to use and you get a better epg. I wonder if that's true and if it is important. This is for my mam.

    Thanks for the ideas.

The EPG is much better and more user-friendly. It's worth waiting until you source one.
