    So i'v had a **** relationship the male side of the world since i can remember...see the thing is my parents are separated and are going through a very ugly separtion/divorce...but my dad and i REALLY dont get on....never have ....he just isnt a nice person...hates me...and treats me really badly all this because i stick up for my mam...brothers and myself...iv never gotten into trouble with the law... infact i havnt done anthing bad...but the problem is all of this is effecting me when it comes to going out with someone....for some reason im reluctant to go any further than meeting a guy more than 2/3times even though iv had interesting nice guys...i know it is a matter of trust ...i just want to know if anyone else has experienced this...thanks

    I know people who cant get on a plane due to fear of flying. The father of a friend of mine missed their daughters wedding because if it. Statistically its a safe way to travel but fear is irrational. Many people fear flying but will still fly because the benefits outweigh the perceived risk. So to you the perceived risk is that if you go out with a guy he will turn out like your father. But the risk of that is low. Most people are pretty decent. So just find yourself a decent guy and give him a chance for longer than 3 dates.
