    Hi folks,

I've recently gotten into golf for the first time, well more pitch n putt really but keen to get out for a proper round of golf soon. I am going to be down in a friends in Kildare over the weekend and we were thinking of playing a round in Woodlands golf club, I noticed they also have a pitch n putt course.

Was wondering if anyone had played the pitch n putt course? Ive been playing the burrows "par 3" and wanted to know if this was a long pitch n putt like the burrows?

Ive checked their website but it gives no real info on it, no pictures or length of holes. Any feedback from anyone who's played it wud be appreciated.

    Cheers.

    Hi PokeHerKing - what a name !

    I play golf in Woodlands.
I haven't played the P+P course there but it looks very very short to me, i'd take a look elsewhere if you are trying to find a good long P+P course.

    Damn,

Was hopin for somthin decent. Not too sure wat Id be like on the full course but its litterally a 10 min walk from my mates house and Ive been truly bitten by the golfing bug.

Any advice on wat the full course is like, for sum1 who has never played a full course but who isnt completely useless on a smallish par 3?

    Cheers PK.

The golf course isn't the hardest you'll ever play but not the easiest either by any means - a decent test for golfers of all abilities as the say in all decent golf marketing blurbs !

It will be very busy there Sat + Sun during the day with members competitions but you should be able to get out about 6ish if that was any good to you. I'd advise 9 holes to start with as 18 can be a grind for an absolute beginner.

Woodlands P&P is part of the PPUI.

Patrick K you must not know much about P&P as the longest hole possible in P&P is 70 metres.

CYMC/LC is the shortest course I have ever played with the longest hole 54 metres and that course has held many big P&P championships.
