Making websites for mobile phones

I have no experience in making a website for the mobile phone. I am looking to design one. Anybody have any pointers i.e. Page sizes, web addresses etc. I have tried googling but haven't had much luck getting info.

Also plenty of emulators out there to show how the system will look on a phone. Nokia have some options on it and there are versions of WinMo that help you do this
