I have just been accepted in a MA in Screenwriting in Galway.

But, my life is pretty much set up in Dublin as I've been studying there for three years. I have a girlfriend there, a band that's just starting to get going and all of my friends are still there studying.

Screenwriting is only two days a week, monday and tuesday.
In a perfect world I would love to find someone who would consider shacking me up for two nights a week.

I would pay of course, but from I've found so far hostels/B&Bs would not be worthwhile as it would be about the same price for a week's rent on a room.

Does anyone have any tips on what I could do? Would like to stay settled in Dublin, but without paying rent on a second room in Galway...

There are digs listings on the NUI Galway website. Maybe try ringing some of them listed to see if the would be happy with such an arrangement.

Try kinlay house hostel in the city, €17 a night usually, breakfast included.

    Otherwise:
