Does anyone have any experience with the various companies like this:

    http://www.free-football.tv/ ?.

I want to ditch Sky & I am looking at the possible alternatives for Premiership.

    bookmark this: http://www.myp2p.eu/competition.php?competitionid=&part=sports&discipline=football

pop on to it whenever theres a game you want to watch, click the tv on the right hand side of the fixture then work your way through the links til you find one

    +1 for the suggestion above.

    http://www.rojadirecta.org/

That's also another one but it's not as well laid out as myp2p.eu

Look out for various match threads on the day of certain matches because there's always streams popping up left, right and centre.

One the best quality feeds around at the moment is http://www.veetle.com/

While the quality is great it used to suffer from freezing/crashing etc alot. Its become much more reliable since the last update and i have watched a few matches lately with them being perfect for the whole of the match.

Check out the feed of random channels.

    Movies

    News

Edit - My p2p should have specific links for Veetle on match day.

In fairness they are all commented for language so you know what you are getting.

While myp2p and rojadirecta are the best I've got matches I wanted from the links below as well from time to time.

    JustIn.tv

Not amazing, but has got me a few matches.

The thing about justintv is that you are better off being referred to it from rojadirecta or myp2p rather than going directly there and searching for games. A lot of the tv titles are misleading and just try to get you to link to other random sites. rojadirecta and myp2p allow you to avoid a lot of the clutter.

Is this worthy of a sticky? Might be handy throughout the season...

As the OP I am biased but I think that it would be a good idea to have somewhere to discuss ongoing streaming & P2P as these change throughout the season.

Go to the match thread and there is nearly always someone supplying a link. No need for a thread imo.

I'm inclined to agree, far more likely someone will read and reply to a request for a streaming link in a match thread.

I am not referring to a specific stream for a specific match but as somewhere to discuss the plethora of companies offering streaming & P2P. Maybe that should belong in computing but as footie lovers surely we need to know where & how is the best way to watch.

Same here. Refuse point blank to pay the outrageous prices for watching a football match.

Not amazing, but has got me a few matches.

Justin.tv is 99% dead at this stage, all fake links, terrible feeds that freeze, appaling quality in general.

Myp2p is the best one I've seen yet and your guarenteed to see your match, even if it is in portugese or some other language.

I was doing a search for the golf yesterday and to my surprise skysports.com had the thing on all day in perfect quality, Ive never gotten anything for free from sky before!!

I got rid of my sports package this year, cant afford it, I was paying for sky sports 1, news, the setantas but I wont miss em!

I was doing some experiments. The feed that I was watching kept freezing. I adjusted the buffer in media player & it improved a lot. We almost need a combined thread between computing & here as there are other adjustments that can improve feeds. The computing people have the knowledge & we have the demand.

This may be of interest to some folk. o2 have launched "o2 TV" where you can get various TV channels on your mobile for €1 a day or €6 a month. The first month is free.

Sky Sports and Sky News (all live) are available. Only on the o2 network, limited to certain mobiles, see o2.ie/tv for more. 3G required to operate the stream.

Used it a bit since it launched last nite, seems pretty good. Plan on using it as a stream, hooking it up to the laptop/TV and getting the most out of it. :)

Unfortunately I'm abroad for a bit but looks good. I would like to hear if it leads to good quality streams that could be watched full screen on laptop or TV. I would pay 6 euro a month if I could guarantee high quality streams. Do you know if on top of the 6 euro a month you will all pay for the data downloads themselves per mb or gb or if that is part of the cost ? Will check out the O2 website now anyways.

    Cheers...

Nope - just the 6 a month, no data charges at all. Will try setup on Laptop and see how it appears but the stream looks good on my E71.

We have a dedicated sticky in Rugby, seems to work well enough.

On that TV/Phone thing Sully was on about.

It's a brilliant service, my friend had a trial of this last year, and the quality is excellent. Well worth the €6 per month

Its not too bad at all i mainly use sopcast, the picture was good for the game i watched last saturday bolton v hibs (i am a hibs supporter :D) did not see much of a difference when i watched the game later on eurosport,as someone else said i just got fed up of paying ridiculous money to sky at the end of the day all i want to do is watch the match not listen to the world according to sky.

Like someone said there, i dont think myp2p will be airing the premiership games - they were removed for the last 8 or so matches last season. Looking on there now, there are none listed for Saturday - just highlights aired on the Monday.

The quality of the picture varies depending on the quality of the stream. Even a crap picture is better than no picture at all though. I have found that wireless Internet connections suffer from stuttering problems more than wired ones so if possible, connect your computer directly to your router.
