I don't suppose anyone has any idea when Garmin will be releasing OSI mapping for Ireland?

No idea. Osi website has had the following for ages:

    "Coming Soon...
Other digital mapping software using OSi data are currently being produced by Anquet Mapping, Satmap, and Garmin and will be available in the coming months."

I guess the product will be the same as the UK GBDiscoverer product

Download from Geolive at €1 a tile. http://www.geolives.com/#

Site run by Star-Apic on behalf of several european mapping agencies.

These map tiles can be displayed on your PDA/phone or PC, but not on your garmin device though.

Oh right, not having a Garmin I assumed they would come with software to import different formats.
