Our band is called Bravest Kid In School. We haven't played for a good while but have recently started recording some new bits and pieces, kicking around ideas for future gigs and generally rediscovering enthusiasm.

We're looking for a drummer. It's hard to say what we're looking for because we're not quite sure ourselves. We've never used any kind of beat generating software or hardware, but would be interested in trying some new things if someone of a more electronic persuasion was interested. It's by no means essential though.

Our old stuff is all quite straight forward guitar music. We'd like to steer clear of that kind of rawk sound these days. In truth, we're likely to be playing few, if any of the old songs. Of course if we find the right guy/girl, it'll be 90% putting together the new gig and 10% working with old stuff. So creativity is a must-have, you won't be handed a CD and asked to "learn this".

Hmmm, other details you may wish to know: We currently have two guitarists and a bass player. We all sing. We've previously played in bands such as Melaton and Funeral Suits. We have our own place to practice. We're from south Dublin. We like LCD Soundsystem, The National, Interpol, Daft Punk, Phoenix and Tokyo Police Club. We all have jobs. We don't practice ridiculous amounts. We have good gear, in terms of amps etc. We've played lots of gigs. We've plenty of recording experience. We don't wear skinny jeans or know anybody who does.

If you want to hear the old stuff our site is www.myspace.com/bravestkidinschoolbandpage but bare in mind, it's quite dated and we'll be doing something a little different in future.

Our practice place has drums so if you want to pop down for an hour and play, and see how we get on drop me a PM.

    Thanks,

    BKIS
