    Evening all.

I have read Tallaght1 intro thread so I hope I'm in the know, and don't bring about a slap on the wrist.

I am looking for peoples thoughts on the best preventative rememdies for the busy daily lifes some of us have.

Long story short my work is kinda seasonal and involves loads of travel europe mainly could be away 10 days a month (might not sound like much but it catches up with you quick!)

So I am just wondering what people use to beat the fatigue! I tend to drop fast and break out in mouth ulers and become one cranky SOB!

Now I know Diet is uber important greens etc -

I have heard of echinacea and its magic properties is this true?

So heres looking to a lively debate

Just make sure to get enough sleep is the best advice I can give. You seem to know how to eat healthily etc...

Ichiro, if you're a man you might want to start a discussion in the 'men's health forum' about this - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1136

There's probably a lot of posters there who have had jobs that involved that kind of travel, and some good info. I (female) lurk there and have been learning a lot about men's health, which i then pass onto male friends and relations.

I spend most of my working week in hotels and I usually 'try' to stick to the following to try and stay healthy (although it doesn't always work!)
    • Have a glass of orange juice (vit c) with breakfast (always available in hotels).
    • Always try and have some vegetable with every meal - even in a sandwich I try and get one with lettuce or tomato, etc.
    • Try and have a bottle / glass water with every meal (even if it is before my bottle of coke!)
    • Have a berocca every day
    • Get out for at least a 10 minute walk - even if its just around the block every day - or use the hotel swimming pool. Even a 5 minute splash around refreshes you.
    • Also - I often go vegetarian during the week. It saves on calories and heavy stodgy food - and the food is just as nice.
    .

I used to be always sick with sinus, etc... but since I have started making an effort I'm much better....
