I am considering changing my Mondeo Zetec 1.8 petrol for a Pug 407 1.6 TD.
I only just passed my test last week, I'm 27. Will this put my insurance quotes higher or lower?
And secondly would it be a good change?

Re the insurance, you'll have to ask your insurance company. Have you driven the 407? How do you find it compared to the Mondeo?

I haven't driven one yet. I was hoping to get a little feedback here. And more specifically on if it is a reliable car or not.

    I've got a 407 1.6 hdi (dv6) and find powerfull..easy on diesel...and it has
alot of gadgets for the money.......:)
If you buy one with around 80-100,000 mls ....check if the particle filter has been changed and additive tank has been topped up.....;)

You will be disappointed drive wise.

The 407 is nowhere near as nice to drive as the previous 406 not to mind the Mondeo. Rear space is also on the tight side compared to your Mondeo. 407 electrics can be troublesome too.

Best thing to do though is drive one for yourself.

I personally think the 407 is a very poor car, as is everything Peugeot produces nowadays.
