Can you re reg a car 30 years old??

Hi guys,
Hope this hasnt been answered before, I did a search but came up with nothing.

Can a car over 30 yrs old be re-registered as new someway?? Someone was convinced over the weekend it is possible. It all came about when we say a 08 VW van. I said it must be made in a foriegn country again, he says it was 30 yrs old and re reged.

Honestly I think their talking waffle, but im not at work this week to check.

Anyone ever come acrosss this??

You can re-register them with a ZV classic plate. You cannot, ever change the year.

I see a holiday in South Africa in your future.

Go there, find a second hand one in decent condition (don't buy one from the coast - rust :eek:). Put it in a container (maybe with a second engine) and bring it here.

Cost involved:

Plane fare = € 1000
Two week holiday = € 1000

Haha Thats an awful lot off effort for me But man it would be worth it so much:D:D
