My absolute favourite TV show, and as you an see by the reviews (5 stars, 81 reviews), it is truly a work of magic. If you like any of the following : SciFi, genius dialogue, a family-feeling cast, Joss Whedon, space, westerns ... I cannot recommend this enough.

Get the vanilla 1 Disc Region 2 Release of SERENITY for €3.99

    http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/860442/Serenity/Product.html

or my favourite, the 2 Disc Region 1 Special Edition for €15:

    http://www.play.com/DVD/Region_1/4-/3358967/Serenity-Collector-Edition/Product.html?ptsl=1&ob=Price&fb=0

...with 2 commentaries: one with the Whedonlord in his solitude reaming out heaps of info on the pain and delight of making the film; t'other with himself and his merry crew recounting funny anecdotes.
Also plenty more documentaries, extended/deleted scenes and much more (I got this one). And DTS sound for audiophiles!

Worth it for the commentaries alone (especially Whedon's own one). Also his commentary on the last episode, Out of Gas, opened my eyes to how finely-attuned his mind is to the layers beneath the exteriors of characters. He somehow managed to make every wonderful thing he did in this and other shows seem even more amazing after listening to his thoughts for 45 minutes (and he takes every opportunity to give credit to Tim Minear and the many many other team-members who helped him bring this show to our TV screens and the fil to our cinema screens).

A selfless genius, that man, IMHO. And IMHO Firefly / Serenity is the single coolest sci-fi-verse ever, above Star Trek and Star Wars.

(Oh no he didn't! Oh yes, he indeed did.)

Bam said the lady. I agree with you.

I have yet to watch Firefly back with the commentary. Again, thanks :)
