Quick question about baggage

I'm going on a camping trip, and just wondering if this will be allowed into the hold:



ie, rolls and tents strapped to the bag on the outside?

As far as I know it's only the weight that matters. What might happen is that you will be sent after checking to put your bags through the oversized baggage drop off.

when we went camping before we put the pegs and polls into our checked luggage and brought the tent on as hand luggage no problem as for roll mats you need to have them secured on the bottom of the bag but remember it could come off at some stage but you would prob get them over there just try to travel light.. try to get everything into your bag but your best bet is to bring a proper rug sack with you.. hope this helps have fun

Yeah, we've done that with the tent. I'm at about 10kg at th moment, so not to bad. To be honest I've been thinking about doing what you said, leaving teh mat and buying one there. Seems the best bet.
