Anybody know anything about Student Credits. I graduated from college in 2007 and worked/ paid approx 18 weeks Class A stamps and have greater than 104 in total paid

I spent the first five months of 2007 in college and want to know if I can get Student Credits for this so I will be eligible for jobseekers benefit.

It's pretty hard to understand what them idiots on welfare.ie are trying to say!

I've had a look at the Welfare website too, It seems that you meet the criteria regarding paid PRSI cons before starting the course. Do your circumstances meet the other two parts of the criteria?

    * started the course before reaching age 23, or
    * have returned to full-time insurable employment.

I think Records Section in Gandon House deal with this. Tel: (0)1 7043000. Might be worth giving them a ring before calling into your local social welfare office.
