This coming September 12th Sunil Sharpe drops down for his Lunar Disko debut, and will be treating us to a rare Chicago / Acid influenced set. This will be a special night for sure featuring Chicago trax both known and forgotten from one of Ireland's finest dj's, alongside some of Sunil's favourite acid trax from the past and present straight from the UK, Chicago, Detroit and beyond.

Starting off the night, will be Lunar Disko regular Kenny Hanlon. Kenny is one of our favourite djs, and never fails to dissapoint with his excellent dj sets. Expect the Monaghan native to keep it deep and jackin' with some of the finest house cuts around.

This Saturday sees an action packed night, and a night which we have been looking forward to for a while down at Lunar Disko HQ. Sunil Sharpe takes over the Lunar Disko controls for the first time, and will be mixing up a very rare themed set of Chicago and acid killers. We also have for the first time, the new 'Before The Lunar Disko' upstairs in the Kennedy's bar from 9-12. Skerries lad Gary Kelly will be spinning all things 80's, new-wave, and electro to get you in the mood for what promises to be a memorable night down in the Underground.

Of all the great sets we've witnessed from Sunil Sharpe over the years, we can't remember ever seeing a themed set from him, so this is a perfect opportunity to hear some of the finest Chicago and acid trax that inspired so many DJ's and producers, mixed by one of the best. Expect Sunil to be cutting it up through the ages with tracks from legendary Chicago labels such as Trax, DJ International, Warehouse, and Dance Mania, featuring artists like Phuture, Marshall Jefferson, Armando, Cajmere, DJ Funk, Robert Armani, and Steve Poindexter to name just a few. Not forgetting the likes of Djax, Force Inc, and UR who have also played their part in presenting us with some of the best acid and Chicago sounds throughout the years.

On the warm up duties is Kenny Hanlon, Kenny is a regular on either side of the turntables down @ Lunar Disko, and has always proved to be one of the best spinners around. Be it techno, electro, disco, or italo, Kenny is well capable of mixing it up between all these genres. Although for this Saturday, expect him to keep it deep and j-j-j-jackin', with the best in house sounds from across the globe.
