    Hi,

Few friends are renting a boat for weekend from Belturbet and we are trying to figure out the best direction to take. Either head north up lough Erne or across towards Leitrim.

I know there are 16 locks between Belturbet and Carrick so would this be a masisve pain to head this way or should we still head this way but just dont go as far as Carrick?

    Thanks..

How long will they have the boat for? And is it round-trip or one way?

There isn't that much north of Belturbet unless you head up to Enniskillen.
You might not get that far south, but you'll prob get to Ballinamore and have to turn back to get back to Belturbet for Sat night (I assume they're leaving the boat back on Sunday morning?) Or even not get much further than Ballyconnell?

tbh, I reckon head south and see how far they get.

Thanks for that, boat has to be back for Mon morning so we have all day sun too.
