Last game of the season gents. It still has meaning if RR beat Ket and we win/draw we take 2nd. If Its a draw and we win we take 2nd. If they win and we win for 2 goals more than them then we take 2nd.

We've had a good season and dropped points where we expected a result.

This will be a tough game, as we experienced last time when Martin (I think) rescued us a miscued cross:D.

We want to finish strong and get 3 points and hopefully a few goals to boot.

3rd game in a row now. Still have the cough from last week. If I run I cough like mad, so I'm no use. It's a bit too far to travel to watch, so good luck tonight lads.

Just sent you a text Des, but don't think it delivered?

If were struggling for players i'll bring my gear. Just having a real problem with sprinting and jumping. Let me know anyway.

    !!GAME OFF!!

Game off, walkover given by Shackthar Senseless.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,028 ✭✭✭FrankGrimes

ah nutz.....was hoping to break the double-digits barrier for the season! Hate walkovers. Can't belive Ketamine gave a walkover to Roys either.

Well done anyway lads - very good season overall with improvements made across the park. And a big thanks once again to Des and Michael for all their great work in running the team.

I fairly hate walkovers too. I thought everyone entered this league to play games of soccer, maybe not it seems.
I have to agree with Jules, I thought we kicked on again in a league with a tougher standard. Its a shame we didn't cut the tape but it's only a matter of weeks before we can begin to make amends.
We must organize an end of season piss up aswell. I know its embarressing when Des gets pissed after a couple of heineken shandys but we'll have to put up with him coz he is our gaffer.

Seems you got your wish ;)

I'm breathing down your neck though, a decent game against Perrin next week and I could overtake you all!

Very surprised Ketamine gave a walkover, but I'd guess they're back in pre-season and might have had a game lined up as a result.

Shame, I tried to angle shoot myself last night by lining out for Bareassalona before the Ravenhill game but Andrew, Colly et al kept me very quiet.

Not sure how I'd of managed to add them to my Ravenhill tally but I'd of figured something out :D

who are they, do they play grass ball also?

also looks like Clay will get the clean sheet award..weve been 2nd in this for the past 2 seasons so is good to get this one.

I thought it was likely but looking at their wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Ketrovers09 it would appear that they're not.

Maybe some of their players are still playing grass ball and they couldn't field a team as a result, seems a bit strange otherwise.

Glad to see you kept your free kick goal for your own team :D

    That Wiki page is hilarious.
the 'Ket's' loyal supporters show up to show their support much to the dicust of rival teams

I was certainly dicusted at Ket this season. Dicusted to the core.

Was that Glenwood you were playing, btw? What the hell happened to them this season?

Yeah, they got less than half the points they got last season. Weird.

Some of the lads were saying that they don't usually enter the summer league though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,346 ✭✭✭✭homerjay2005

GAA players. they struggled for numbers in alot of games.

Yeah it was Glenwood, they seem to have struggled for players all year round. We beat them 4-0 last night but they could be grateful for some woeful finishing on our part, it should have been closer to 10 tbh.

They still have some handy players, but as mentioned above I think they've missed the guts of their team for most of the season.
