Knock a couple of 100 off in a haggle and its a cheap enough van. You'll not buy much cheaper at retail than this....

that one says 125k? Is it being used in the meantime? Full service history is a plus with it but you'll find it hard to shift it afterwards

High mileage alone in this country will mean it will be difficult to sell on, especially if you are only keeping it for a short time.

I would be looking at something like this for similar money. Mileage is lower and comes with 12 months DOE cert. http://www.driving.ie/usedcars/index.cfm?fuseaction=car&carID=200929194589188 Much more sellable in a couple of months time imo.

Unless you personally know the driver or history of the Golf I think you will loose alot on it when you go to try and sell it in a few months time. You might also have to spend money on things like timing belt, water pump, etc in the mean time too.

To be honest OP, if you are only keeping a car for a short time as a stop gap then you might be better off buying a cheap car with a bit of NCT on it that you will loose very little money on in the interim.
