Ok.. Ive an ADSL Wireless Netgear Router which is connected via Ethernet cable into a Comtrend Powerline Ethernet Adaptor in one location.

In the other location, the 2nd Comtrend Powerline Ethernet Adaptor is connected to a laptop via Ethernet cable

This all works fine and is running at top speed.

My question is- is it possible to plug the Ethernet cable coming from the 2nd Comtrend Powerline Ethernet Adaptor into a wireless router so that I can pick up the wireless signal on the laptop instead of using the Ethernet cable to connect to laptop?

You only need to get a wireless access point, rather than a fully fledged wireless router. Or at the very least the second wireless router must be capable of running as a simple wireless access point.

Since as far as the additional wireless router is concerned, it is connecting to a wired network, this is a decent article here from netgear (with a full wireless router). While the exact details will be different for different brands the principals remain the same.

Of course with a specialised Wireless Access Point it would be even simpler again.

Yeah that works no problems. I had a setup like that running for a while. Just connect the router up to the powerline adapter and that's it.

    Just an update..

I connected the new netgear router into the 2nd powerline ethernet adaptor and it works great. I now have full wireless signal in both locations! :)
