    Hi ,

Im looking for some advice ,

I entered the New York Marathon on the plan that its pretty difficult to get into and on your 3rd year entering you will get a bib.

The plan didnt go to plan and I got accepted this year on my first year trying.

My dilemma is that I have a wedding planned in october in portugal , stag in September etc so I cant focus training for it, just got a contract after being unemployed for 6mth's so asking for even more time off wouldnt go down to well

I know its frowned upon but A) I dont want to make any cash just recoup the bib cost and B) I geniunely run 6 events so far PB of 88/half 3:36/Full , so I actually would love to enter but with other commitments etc

Has anyone got any experience selling on the bib.

You wont be able to see that, but I think you can defer your entry for a year, Have a read of the terms and conditions of the entry it might be possible to put it off for a year.

website says you can't defer and further
"You may not give or sell your race number or timing chip to someone else. Anyone found participating with another person's number will be disqualified and both people will be barred from future New York Road Runners events, including the ING New York City Marathon."
