I got a visit from the Welfare dude on Thursday for Job Seekers Benefit or Allowance, can't remember which one it was but how long do you think it will take until I get payed?

Need the cash for moving away for College.

    Thanks.

    *applied in Dun Laoghaire btw*

I had my means test on July 9th.

And I have not heard a word since other than a phone call in which I was informed that I am "still in the system".

So you could be waiting a month yet.

If your going to college, unless you fit within a very small minority of exceptions, then you will not qualify. See the charter for more information for students. If you are going to college and decided not to tell them, then that is fraud, but I am assuming you did not do that.

Hey, well I did a Diploma and applied to get into a UK University. But I wasn't sure if I'll be going as I may not get the results so basically I'm not settled on anything at the moment. So basically I'm not in any transition between Colleges. I'm unemployed and thats my status.

The Welfare officer came around and I told him about it and he said it was ok.
