Really confused over nuig accommodation!! please help

    most places full (corrib etc) but people say dunaras is a bit of caraic though so would that be better than a house for first as i really wont know anyone going up to galway with me so want to be in a first year place,to make friends etc!!

    please help

    Well if you don't know anyone you're not going to be getting a house are ya.

    Dúnaras is alrite. Not ideal location wise but you haven't much of a choice. It's not that far out (plenty of students live in the Rahoon area) you just won't really be able to pop home for an hour in between lectures. And it's decent craic, better than Gort na Coiribe.

    Although Gort na Coiribe would be a little closer (but probably not enough to justify the extra money).

    Does it cost more? Was pretty sure the last couple of years all the student residences charged the same price (probably fixed it as they know most people haven't got a choice, ****).

    Dunaras is actually marginally cheaper than Gort Na Coiribe. Definitely not by much though.

    So functionally, you are right. They're all about the same really.
