    Hi
Does anyone know anybody selling pure bred charolais cows. I'm looking for a high quality pure bred charolais cow, preferably in calf or with calf at foot. I've been looking for a while now. I'm not looking for a heifer. Does anyone have any sugestions or know any decent suppliers. Thanks..

have you ever seen the farmers journal it costs 2.40 euros and its out on thursdays just for farmers. other wise just get in touch with the charolais society they will put you in touch with the right breeding and price you want to spend:D

yep, farmers journal is a gd bet..

    also check out upcoming sales

say for a good well bred char heifer, maiden! upwards of €2k
say incalf heifer mayb up to double that!

    quality will cost money!

I know 2 Charolais breeders who have crossed a lot of their purebred charolais cows with lims and a few belgian blues this year, due to dimishing returns from purebred calves. Oversupplied at the moment, and costly to get cows in calf plus bring the calf up to sale condition and standard for a young bull or in calf heifer etc,.
They both reckon they will do better at the moment by getting good cross bred calf for commercial trade.
