Am I Entitled To The Dole?

I work 9 months of the year. (seasonal work) I pay a mortgage. I own a second home which earns me monthly rent. I pay PRSI when I have work. Am I entitled to the dole for the 3 months I dont work or does the rent i earn stop me being able to claim my stamps back??

If you are entitled to Jobseeker's Benefit, your means are not taken into account.

If you are not entitled to Jobseeker's Benefit (ie, don't have enough PRSI contributions) and apply for Jobseeker's Allowance, that's when you would have to pass a means test.
