Need help putting my fork back on

Right, this is a classic case of taking something apart and then having bits left over when it's put back together.

I took the fork off my '07 Langster a while back, and I've just tried to put it back on. I've got an Allez which has (I thought) an identical fork, so I had a look at that to see which way round and in what order the various 'rings' go. So far so good.

I'm now left with two very thin shiny metal rings and I'm not sure where they go!

Any ideas? The tech section of the Specialized website wasn't much help.

As kenmc says 'Pics would be useful'.

In their absence....Could they be washers that sit on the headset bearings to keep crud out? (Top and Bottom bearings on the outer side).

Thanks a lot for the input everyone. I've attached some images, but can't embed them because I'm just using my phone now. EDIT: Images now embedded.

The mystery discs are in the 4th pic and look very like the spacers in the integrated headset section on that link. I thought spacers were bigger than that though.

Hmmm. bit difficult to tell where the hell they're supposed to go.
But yeah, looking at the website, it appears that they're the spacers from an integrated system, but they're not the same sort of spacers used to adjust the height of the bars - they're just under the dustcap.

Cheers Ken. Yeah, they're definitely not 'height spacers'. I'm assuming they're symmetric in some sense. I'm obviously reluctant to use the bike with internal parts on the floor!

as far as i remember from integrated forks they sit on outside of the bearing holding the fork tight and act as a bearing race of sorts for sealed bearing cups...

They look like the spacers of an integrated headset that are inserted above the centering sleeve and below the dust cap as in the link provided by Wez. This is where I put them and no problems on my bikes.
