power supply temperature

    hey ive noticed the transformer for my newish laptop is getting hotter and hotter as time goes by?

    Is there a rule of thumb that says when hot is too hot?
    i just dug out my thermocouple and checked it, its about 52c deg now but gets hotter..

    can anyone weigh in?
