So as some might recall, some time ago a user notified us that Steven Seagal had made a vampire/infected film.
Well walking through HMV today i saw said film. Having a little bit of spare cash and a bad dose of swine flu, i bought it and a few others to top up my dvd collection.

I have to say, from the get go, its utter ****e.

    BUT.

    its hilariously brilliant utter ****e.

I was a bit of a seagal fan when i was younger, he was like horatio cane but with martial arts.
The film is nothing new to the horror genre even though the people that made it claim it is.

    Basic plot:
some survivors staying in a hospital. More survivors show up. uneasy alliance.
Infected vamp people attack. Steve and his crew of leather clad vampire "hunters" show up.
Tacked on count down to area being nuked by the army

There is some things you'll probably recognize from other genres.
The Walking Dead is ripped off :
theres an "evolved" infected little girl thats infected and has the hunger, but she can rationalize and communicate. shes fed survivors by her mad scientist father.
This has been covered in walking dead when the evil mayors daughter was a zed on a leash.

Poor old Steve is looking fairly wooden inthis. Hes not moving much, just slashing away with his sword. Most of the time the camera cuts away from him during fight scenes, so he isnt being involved as you think.
Most of the action goes to his right hand man, and the two lovely ladies in his hunting crew.

If you want a laugh and have some spare time and cash, check it out.
If you dont share my sense of humor and feel it'd be a waste of cash and would simply bore/annoy you, avoid.

9.99, so i thought it was ok.
perhaps when i have some monster hunters over for punch and pie we'll watch it again, but its fairly one off viewing imo.

i got the omega man for 6.99 which i thought was ok. :)

Against the dark is brilliantly bad :D
*think it was me that posted about it before*

Segal is awful and it looks like he can barely move anymore but it is well worth a random watch

True but I suppose it is a theme in infection type movies, as in we are the cause of the problem

Omega Man was a good buy for that price, good movie, you can't beat a bit of Charlten Heston
