hi Cathal - really interesting interview about a major new source for historians by a well-placed interviewee. Couldn't see much from the station website - would love to know if there's more material like this to listen to. I find the 'Talking History' show on Newstalk a bit disappointing.
Thought interview worked best in final third when you invited interviewee's personal reflections on the material and what interested her most
Didn't think interviewee was comfortable for first few minutes, but don't know what you could've done differently - given your warm tone, time in conversation with her prior to interview (as indicated in interview), and willingness not to interrupt her
It was difficult to tell who the interview was pitched at - it worked more as a recording of a conversation than a strict interview. You don't want to be PatKenny, but would encourage you to impose yourself more on the interview and maybe refer to one or two other people about the subject whose views you could put to interviewee

I really enjoyed it. Would love to hear more similar interviews by you
