Olive oil - €2.15 per 750ml bottle

Best in this Which! test and on special offer for €2.15 per 750ml bottle from Aug 10th till Aug 16th in Lidl. Yes, Lidl! Worst in the test was the olive oil from Marks&Spencers BTW.

Thanks for this - interesting. I've never tried Lidl olive oil but, of the ones I've used, Aldi is my favourite. I notice that gets 3rd place with a joint 4 stars with Lidl in this test. BTW, in this test, Lidl was 2nd to another generic brand that's not sold in Republic of Ireland AFAIK.

Always thought Berrio was over-rated and this test seems to confirm that. I know it's a matter of personal taste.

Normal price for Evoo 750ml at Aldi is E3.49, I think.

The way I read the results is that all 3 "came first" in that they all got 4 stars out of 5. The one that is not sold here is 50% more expensive than the Aldi or Lidl one and that's with the Lidl one at nearly twice the price of above offer!

Obviously all of the olive oils in the test are budget oils. Hard to beat €2.15 for a half decent one though
