Have come across a 01 Saxo for the parents but the exhaust/catalytic converter pipe ( obviously i know a lot about cars :p) looks to be held together with two clamps and some kind of clay or filler. sorry i can't describe this any better but wondering if it's anything to worry about? it's passed the nct in march this year but has been driven since.

If the filler is only around the clamp area i wouldnt be too worried, it was probably just blowing a bit and can be renewed, if its on the cat it'll be a new cat...

if you kneel down and look under the car at the exhaust/cat pipe, the filler and clamp are more or less the first thing you see. didn't look to be anything wrong with the cat itself but it looks like the filler and clamp are covering up a hole or holding it together.
