iTouch banjaxed, tips for opening the case?

Well to put a long story short, I brought my iTouch (1st Gen) 16GB to Oxegen and well I suppose it must've suffered water damage in my tent.

The little water damage sensor in the headphone jack is still white, so I was going to send it off to Apple and let them work their magic.. however the C**** will not honour my warranty even though my iTouch is less than a year old, so I couldn't be bothered with their BS so I purchased the parts myself to replace them since its a pretty easy job.

My iPods screen backlight doesnt work anymore, and the battery lasts.. at best 3 minutes. So I bought a replacement LCD and Battery for like €20

Now the hard part... GETTING THE BLOODY THING OPEN!!!

I just cant ge't the case to pop open :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Anyone have any guides, tips, hints or anything.. other than hurling this overpriced peice of Apple crap at a wall.

Also, I have all of the opening tools etc for opening it!
