Hello all. Thinking about buying a 3Gs today but i just had a few Q's to ask before doing so. The first being, does the GPS app work in Ireland? I heard somewhere that it doesn't but I dont understand why it wouldn't.

Secondly, how much would browsing, or streaming on wunder radio use up bandwidth wise? 50MB isn't alot, and is easily exceedable. Does the phone tell you when you're reaching the 50MB mark? Don't really wanna pay 2c for every KB after that. Its madness.

Can't think of any more now but I might later. Hope someone can help.

    Cheers

    Hi,
The GPS app does work in Ireland
Not sure exactly how much data wunder radio uses, but not a whole lot I would say.
The phone doesn't let you know whn you are approaching the 50MB mark, but in the menu, thers is a usage tracker, this tells you exactly how much data you have used since you last reset it...2c/Kb is disgusting, its total robbery, yes , I'm looking at you, Meteor. Hang your head in shame...

Yeah thats REALLY expensive. I work in Dundalk but live in the north where we get unlimited free data on our plans - wifi is free of course as well. The best way to keep an eye on it is to reset your usage counter each month.
I don't see how they can justify this price - I was caught out once by turning data roaming on.... Never again

You can just check how much data you're using out of yout 50mb allowance by dialing *113#
