Hi i've been asked by a pal this evening to find out what is the exact process of reporting someone for social welfare fraud, he says the person in question is screwing the system inside out and gloating about it down the pub, actually advising people on how to do it.

Any help appreciated and will forward any advice to my friend. Just to add the party commiting the fraud is not known to me and i don;t mix in the same social circle.

Benift fraud is very wrong , most will agree on that right?

My advice ?? '' let he that is without sin cast the first stone ''

in other words if you really feel that strong and concernd about it ( as you as 3rd party clearly do OP ) .....do something about it

As i said my mate will as soon as he knows the process, someone has told him he has to give his name and all that jazz, he can't go down that road for reason's i'm sure you understand. I've no idea who the person is its someone he knows from school years ago or something.

Cheers for that man will pass that on, also meant to ask what details you would need on the person, obiviously you need more than a name.

its totally annoymous your mate wont need to give any of his details.he wont be called upon again.

as for who hes reporting-give his name, address and give details of what he is doing.social welfare will take it from there.
