Just wondering is there a train service to Dunmore East from Dublin? Was considering driving down but if the trains not too expensive I might try it instead.

Nope, the nearest railway station for both Dunmore East and Dungarvan would be Waterford City. You can then get a bus from the city center (Clock Tower) to Dunmore East and a bus from the Bus Terminus to Dungarvan, which runs hourly for most of the day.

My original post was on Dungarvan but when I read the post again I thought I dreamt seeing it and changed it to Dunmore East. Nicely spotted!
