Connection blocked?

Trying to connect to an openssh server on my home network, over the internet.

Network setup: DSL modem/router assigns an IP to the LAN router.
LAN router assigns IPs to all local machines (including the openssh server)

On the DSL router, NAT is enabled for port 22 to the LAN router's IP.
On the LAN router's firewall, port 22 is open.

I can connect to the server over the LAN without any issues.
But I cannot open a connection over the internet.

    Is there something I'm missing?

Sounds obvious so I doubt its the problem because I'd say you've checked.

When connecting on the lab are you using the hostname or IP?
Maybe flush the DNS and then try?
