    I was looking for a netbook for college next year and came across the elonex webbook on laptopsdirect.ie (i would put pics and a link up but i'm on my mobile) i was wonderin what people thought of this or if they have one what it is like any opinion is appreciated thanks

    Avoid . Period. Elonex are rubbish.

    Save your money and get any of the following

    1. - Advent 4212 @ €229

    2. - Acer Aspire One, 16GB SSD

    Deals are rather scarce now that I went looking for them, but dont buy that Elonex!!

    alright magiktripp i won't buy elonex looked at that advent looks pretty good if you or anyone else has any other suggestions for me i'm open to them but i think it will be hard to beat the advent

    There were a couple of netbook bargains running for the last month or two but have since gone up in price. eBuyer.com and Expansys.ie had good spec netbooks each running the €220 mark so my advice is keep an eye on the Bargain Alerts forum for any offers that may appear. If you cant hang on , the Advent is a good netbook, smaller screen at 8.9"'s as most now are 10" average but its still a decent machine. I'll have another look around and see whats out there.
