Strange happenings on Facebook

Today I visited my Facebook page and found that there are two quiz results on my profile even though I did not take these quizzes.

One is "Which language are you?"
When I click to see how other friends faired on this quiz,it asks me to allow a "Make your own quiz application" access to my details......it does not lead me to my friends' results.

The other one is "What type of dancer are you?"
The result is "hip-hop" . I am definitely sure that I did not take either of these quizzes.

So, there are two questions I would like to ask:

    1. Has anybody here had a similar experience on Facebook with receiving results to quizzes they never took?

    2. Could anybody offer an idea as to why this has happened?
(Maybe somebody hacked my profile or something like that. That would make me furious)

    Thanks

    P.S.
Contacting facebook directly is unlikely to lead to any enlightenment for me in relation to this matter.

Are you sure they're not just clever ads?

I'm constantly having Facebook ask me to take IQ tests and telling me the results my friends got - including a result for my wife, and she's definitely never taken the test.
It looks really convincing too, they've scraped the profile photos into the ad and everything.

I'm guessing that as part of the viral activity of this (pain in the ass) apps that your friend can suggest you and fill in some info. It then goes to you and of course you'll want to correct it ...

Personally, I hide all these silly things in my feed and then delete any app requests that come in.

I wouldn't bother contacting Facebook as their customer service is absolutley dreadful - experienced first hand as a customer who has paid them for advetising. You won't even get an auto response.
