Inspiron 1721 - Charging question

    Hi,

My 90w charger for my Dell Inspiron 1721 got damaged recently and doesnt work any more. I have placed an order for a new charger but it could be a week or so.

However, i have a 65w charger and every time i plug it in to charge my laptop, the message below appears:

"65W AC Power Ada[ter has been determined. Your system will operate slower and the battery will take more time to charge. Please connect a Dell 90W AC adapter or higher for best system operation"

I realise that this pretty much sums it up but i was wondering if in the meanwhile while i am waiting for the new charger, is there any changes i can make to the power plan that would increase the system performance?

    Cheers

Not really no. Running it on the battery would probably give you more performance than on the Charger right now.

You can try running in High Performance mode but your battery charge time may slow to a crawl or stop altogether if your laptop was originally configured for a 90w supply.
