How to play Divx/Xvid on PS2 slim?

    Is there a way to enable a PS2 Slim to play divx/xvid movies? It'd save me having to get a new divx player for my kid's bedroom.:cool:

    If its modded it can run a homebrew application called sms (simple media system). Its quite a capable media player, you can hook up an external hard drive to it too (not ntfs though)

    Cheapest/handiest way to mod is by installing something called free mcboot, but you nearly need a already modded one to install it your self. Its installs software onto your memory card so it doesnt effect the warranty of the PS2 at all(not that it probably has one any more :) ).
