Is this the Darren Shan thingy? Might give it a bash , even though the books were cringy at times!

@ lostexpectation- afaik, the author was English. Could be wrong though, I havn't read the books in about six years.

The author was from an Irish family but grew up in England, and this seems to be true for the character too (his parents are called Dermot and Angela but the place seems more English than Irish). John C Reilly is a terrible choice for Mr Crepsley; Alan Rickman would be awesome!

I am so freaking excited for this!

Yeah, or Johnny Depp... but I just love Johnny Depp in anything.:P Really, Reilly is totally wrong for the role, iirc , Crepsly was more definetely more Snape-like, not a funny character...

What's with Willem Dafoe and the Vampire films? :pac: Add this to Shadow of the Vampire and the upcoming Daybreakers.

Didn't even know this was being made into a film. Remember reading the books but crepsley as reilly? Not sure what to think, the books were a lot darker than that from what I recall.

I remember reading these books when I was back in school, interesting story. Yeah, John C Reilly was a terrible casting choice, I always imagined crepsley as tall and lanky, Alan Rickman would indeed have been a good choice but Im sure he doesnt want to get sucked into another franchise
