Just interested on your thoughts on this?I can deal with bad/mediocre/not my cup of tea art if the story/writing is good, but my OH tends to only read books that have (in his words) good art. There are certain writers I'll read, regardless of who the artist is,and certain artists I'll check out, regardless of who the writer is.Thoughts?

Art, hand over fist, though of course it goes better with a good story.

It is a visual medium after all. :)

Then again, I'm not very disciplined about it. I'll pick just about anything up on a recomendation, however awful and unimaginative the artwork is. The one thing I do find, is that no matter how good the story is, I won't re read it if it has bad art, unlike a novel, whereas I find myself picking up comics that had art I liked again and again to re read. :o

Story > Art. Always. Why bother reading something if it's just plain annoying and insulting your intelligence?
